Creative Gift Wrapping

Hi there! It’s finally the holiday season! This season is my absolute favorite for so many reasons, but one of my favorite parts about the season is gift giving. Sometimes gifts can be hard to wrap or you just need to spruce them up a little and make them look extra special. Let me show you a few creative ways to wrap this gifts. At the end, check out a few my friends’ gift wrapping ideas! And thank you Shae from Sweet Souther Grace for hosting this fun blog hop!

Teacher & Hostess Gifts

Let’s start with teacher and hostess gifts. These gifts are usually hard to shop for and awkward shapes. I have a few cute and unique gift ideas for these two categories and fun ways to wrap them that are a little cuter than the standard gift bag! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good gift bag and sometimes that’s the easiest thing to do, but if you have the time it never hurts to add a little special touch.

Teacher Gift Ideas

  • Hot Cocoa Gift Set ( Get creative with this one! You could make hot cocoa bombs, hot chocolate on a stick, or even you’re own hot chocolate mix and put it in a mason jar. You could even make your own marshmallows if you really wanted to.)
  • Hand Soap, Lotion, and Towel Gift Set (For this one you could totally make your own festive foaming hand soap!)
  • Cozy Pampering Gift Set ( You could have a lot of fun with this one too! Making your own sugar scrub, bath salts or bath bombs could be fun and really make this gift extra special for your favorite teacher.)

I decided to show you this cutie hot cocoa gift set. This would make the perfect teacher gift! It was so easy to put together and very budget friendly! Instead of just throwing everything in a gift bag or using clear cellophane wrapping, I thought ti would be cute to go with a festive wrapping paper and a pretty velvet ribbon. Believe it or not I picked up this wrapping paper from the bullseyes playground at target for only $1!

Hostess Gift Ideas

  • Cook Book Gift Set
  • Baking Gift Set
  • Wine & Candle Gift Set
  • Dish Soap & Hand Towel Gift Set

This Hostess gift was fun to put together. You could grab a fun cook book or even a pretty “coffee table book.” Again, you can be as creative and festive with this as you want. to Wrap this gift you could just tie a pretty ribbon or jute around it or wrap it up with clear cellophane and a Christmas bow or use Christmas wrapping paper and use the spatula and cookie cutters as gift toppers. The possibilities are endless!

I feel like you could also combine any or all of these gift ideas for a larger and fun gift basket. Especially the teacher gifts. I will be making a video on my instagram and showing you in a later blog post how to make one of these gifts from each category, so stay tuned for those!

Family & Friends Gifts

If you’re like me, you have a lot of gifts to buy for family and friends. If you want to spruce up your gift wrapping, check this out!

Last year I kept simple. To spruce up some of my presents, I added a little twine, greenery and a cute gift tag. You could even add a festive, colorful ribbon if you’d like. I linked a few of my favorite accessories below:

Another creative way to wrap those oddly shaped gifts is to create a gift bag out of wrapping paper. You can check out the full tutorial on how to make this in last years blog post here.

This year, I used that same wrapping paper from target to create a fun envelope style of wrapping. I’ll post a full tutorial later on my Instagram page. You basically fold your paper diagonally on one end to create a little pocket. Once your gift is wrapped you can stick a fun card or holiday pick in and add a bow!

Head over to my friends’ blogs to check out their creative gift wrapping ideas! I hope we inspired y’all to be creative this holiday season!
