Trash-Treasure: Night Stand Transformation

Happy Wednesday friends and thanks for checking out my blog! I’m so excited to team up with 9 sweet friends for my first post of 2022! I’ll put all of their links at the end so be sure to give them some love. I hope you enjoy reading about this fun little project of mine.

The Before

We were in the market for new night stands a few months ago. I knew we needed and wanted drawers. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on new furniture, so I was ok with a bit of project piece. I finally found these on Facebook market place for a steal! Although the nightstands were in pretty goof condition, they just weren’t the right color. They literally matched out wall color and didn’t look right. I knew I eventually wanted to paint them white and change out the hardware and I am obsessed with how they turned out!

The Process

The After

They look so much better right?! I seriously love them! I’ll list everything I used below in just a minute.

I’m a sucker for for white furniture y’all! I just love how bright an airy white furniture makes a room look. The color I used is antique white and it is seriously the perfect shade! I haven’t quite found the right hardware but I’m thinking something like these square matte black pulls or these. But for now I think these turned out amazing!

What You Need

  • Paint color of choice- I used Color Place Antique White from Walmart
  • Electric sander -Here is a good one
  • 3″ paintbrush or larger & a 1″ paint brush to get in small places.
  • New Hardware if you want to change it out
    • You could also spray paint the existing hardware if you like the style.

Although this was a super easy, inexpensive project, I hope that it inspires you to create something! When I first started doing DIY projects I had no clue what I was doing. I just went for it! Once I realized how easy DIY could be and it didn’t have to be some elaborate or expensive project, it was suddenly my new favorite thing to do in my spare time. DIY projects and crafts have been so fun and I love sharing them with y’all. Follow me over on my Instagram to see other projects I’ve done and tons of home decor inspo on a budget!

  1. Hannah those night stands turned out beautifully. I have two that I’ve been waffling back and forth about painting. Now that I’ve seen yours you’ve inspired me to get started!
